Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career at a young age. Her roles included lead characters in TV dramas as young at the age of 16. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like that in the role of Hitler's Secretary Traudl Junge. The role was in the critically and commercially highly successful Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable worldwide and national productions over the past few years. This includes The British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time and as the French historic Miniseries Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
